"Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows"

I got the book on Saturday afternoon...I wasn't about to wait in line at midnight for it so I ordered it online and waited. I couldn't wait for it to get there. My sister did the midnight thing and stayed up all night Friday reading it. She called about 10 Saturday morning saying that she finished it. I knew she would. I finished it last night. I wasn't disappointed. I'm sad yet happy. I loved the book. Actually I don't think there is anything she could have done to make it better. There was a real sense of finality in how she chose to end the books. I love that! I'm not saying anything that would spoil it for others who haven't had the pleasure of reading it. I think it's my favorite book of the series. I wish there were others coming but really there isn't any way she could go on. It's kinda bittersweet. This series was one of the best ones I've read. I don't read a lot of fantasy so it was something completely new to me. I really really liked the series and I hope one day if I'm fortunate enough to have children, that they'll enjoy reading the books as much as I did. The only other series I really read was the "Anne of Green Gables" books, the Vampire Chronicles, and the Earth's Children series. I don't think that there's going to be another set of books that took hold both young and old imaginations and left such a lasting impression. In a little over a month I start school again. My last semester there before transferring and hopefully I'll be done with that soon too! I had planned on reading a lot this summer but it seems like I have done nothing. I've been kinda busy...you know trying to get out of the house and all that. It's been a good summer though I have to say that. The only thing that would make it better was if I actually got to make it to the beach. I know I don't necessarily have to go there in the summer and that I could go there in the winter but there's just something about being on the beach in the middle of the night with no one around just listening to the ocean and smelling the salty air. It's my favorite place to be. So I'm hoping that I can get down Ocean City before the summer's finished. If not Ocean City maybe somewhere else...I just want to be near the ocean.
